Steamboat Auctioning Off Rare Medical Gondola As Part of Fundraiser (Opening Bid $5,000)

Here’s another great opportunity to bid on some old chairs and gondola cabins.  This week, Steamboat Resort in Colorado is auctioning off 138 chairs from the Christie III chairlift, three cabins from the Steamboat Gondola constructed in 1986, and one medical gondola cabin that was rarely used and is in great condition. Minimum bids for the Christie III chairs start at $500, the gondola cabins begin at $2500, and the medical cabins’ bids commence at $5000. According to Steamboat Pilot & Today, the proceeds will be going towards the “resort’s Charitable and Environmental Funds at the Yampa Valley Community Foundation.”

The auction started yesterday and will be active until Sunday, May 29th at 8 p.m. Mountain Time. If you win, you have to be able to pick up the chairs or cabins at the Meadows parking lot from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m on June 11th. You can view the auction here
