With the longest season in Utah, Snowbird is now the only ski resort that’s still running its lifts in the Beehive State. For the rest of the season, Snowbird has transitioned to weekend operations until the snow melts. On Monday, the ski resort was closed to the public, but Snowbird ran the lifts exclusively for employees for a quiet powder day. The snow stake showed 8″ of powder, but Snowbird claimed to get 12″ of new snow, which is likely from the summit. While a few people were annoyed that Snowbird wasn’t open, I think it’s lit that they ran the lifts exclusively for employees on a deep powder day. Snowbird will reopen this Friday-Sunday for weekend operations from 8 am to 2 pm.
