It’s been snowing pretty much non-stop at Mammoth since Sunday evening. The resort is claiming 43-51″ has already fallen from the storm, and it’s not over yet.

The snow is getting powder hounds hyped up, but Mammoth was forced to close down lifts today (12/14) for avalanche mitigation work, and other safety precautions.

Can’t wait to see the powder skiing and riding clips that come from Mammoth over the next couple of days. I’m sure conditions are going to be absolutely unreal.

Glen Plake, who appears to be camping in Mammoth’s parking lot, (not a bad way to spend a season if you ask me) shared the video below of the snow stacking up. Looks like conditions are going to be all-time when the resort opens back up tomorrow!
