The video below is of a huge wall of snow approaching Traverse City, MI from Grand Traverse Bay, on Lake Michigan. Lake effect snow storms are a regular occurrence in this part of the country, but it’s pretty surreal to see a storm visually approaching the coast like this.
Can we put some of our best scientists to work on figuring out a way to produce more lake effect snow storms? That could be a hinderance to the people having to deal with it on a day-to-day basis, but at least the ski areas across the Midwest and Northeast will have more snowfall… You can probably guess where my priorities are in this matter.
