WATCH: Landing The First Ever Airbus A340 In Antarctica

Well, damn. This is one of the coolest videos I’ve watched in a really long time. Hi Fly Airline landed the first ever Airbus A340 in Antarctica, and did a spectacular job recording the journey for their YouTube channel.

The A340 departed Cape Town, South Africa on November 2nd, 2021 and touched down in Wolfsfang, Antarctica about 5 hours later.

The footage of that big plane landing on a snow-covered runway in Antarctica doesn’t seem like it should be real, but it certainly is. Commander Carlos Mirpuri made history and proved he’s got a pair of big ol’ balls in doing so. This dude will probably never have to buy a drink again when he’s in a room full of pilots.
