Great news for all you Pennsylvania skiers and snowboarders…Seven Springs Mountain Resort fired up their snowguns yesterday in preperations for their yet to be announced opening day. The Tribune-Democrat reports Seven Springs replace the original Avalanche lift with a state-of-the-art quad chairlift in the offseason. The new lift has an uphill capacity of  2,400 people per hour (almost 35% increase) and will carry passengers faster and further, enabling better access to the Slowe Slope and Trail. The 492 vertical climb will take 4 minutes and 21 seconds, a few minutes faster than its predecessor.  We will be sure to follow up when they announce opening day.
