Pro skater Derek Scott always dreamed about bringing a top-notch skatepark to his small hometown of Salida, CO. Scott grew up skating the town’s small bowl park, and always believed Salida deserved more.
He recently fulfilled his dream by completing the New Salida Skatepark and hosting a competition for kids to test out the new park.
It’s really moving to see how emotional the project makes Scott when he talks about it. It must be an amazing feeling to be able to give back to his hometown and see the next generation of skaters ride his new park.
