It’s one of my favorite times of the year.
Ski resorts are slowly starting to open up across the country. Resorts such as Park City, Solitude, Hunter Mountain, and more have had to delay their openings, but Sunday River, ME has just announced that they will begin spinning lifts tomorrow for passholders!
The resort will open to daily lift ticket purchasing skiers and riders on Sunday, November 21st.
Sunday River will be the third resort to offer lift-serviced skiing in the east behind Killington, VT and Sugar Mountain, NC (Sugar opened on Monday, 11/15 but has since closed due to warm temps).

“Open Daily Starting November 18
It’s finally here! The 2021-2022 winter season starts on Thursday, November 18 at 9AM. We’re opening to Passholders, Ikon Passholders, and ticket pack holders only for access to T2 and Upper Sunday Punch on the Locke Mountain Triple. Terrain is for advanced skiers and riders only, and downloading may be required. If you don’t have a season pass or ticket pack, Season Passes and Maine Four-Day Passes are on sale now, or join us starting on Sunday, November 21.”
