Timberline Lodge, OR took to social media today to let their followers know that the Freestyle parks at the ski area will not open tomorrow due to extremely warm temps.

The ski area was also closed today due to the extreme heat.

Park crews will have to completely reshape the features of the park due to the extreme melting that’s occured over the last couple of days.

The resort says that temps didn’t dip below 70 degrees Fahrenheit last night, and they were bombarded with hot 50mph winds to make matters worse.

The resort hopes to reopen on Wednesday, but will face more challenges considering the record heat wave bearing on the Pacific Northwest.

The National Weather Service is calling for a high of 86 degrees Fahrenheit today with a low near 70 tonight.

The season might be over sooner rather than later if warm temps like these keep up in the PNW.
