When you use glacial as an adjective you’re usually sarcastically referring to something moving so slow its imperceptible. Such is not the case for the Muldrow Glacier up in Alaska’s Denali National Park which experienced a “Historic Surge Event” from May 1-8th, moving about 90ft a day. A team of scientists set up a timelapse camera near the tow of the glacier and it doesn’t take eons to appreciate its transition. Could be wrong but if you count the light cycles I think this was an eight day timelapse. Check it out:
