Big congratulations to 33 year old Polish ski mountaineer Andrzej Bargiel who just checked off another major milestone in his Karakoram Ski Expedition in the Karakoram mountain range of the Himalaya in Pakistan by skiing down Laila Peak (elevation exactly 20,000ft) just two weeks after scoring a first decent down 20,269ft peak called Yawash Sar II. Bargiel and his companion Jędrzej Baranowski started their summit ascent at Sunday night Polish time. They reached the peak at 10 am on Monday and then began their ski descent. Bargiel now skied down three peaks over 26,000ft including Shishapangma in China, Manaslu in Nepal in 2014 and Broad Peak in the Karakoram in 2015. As you might imagine, uploading videos takes a while given the remote location but he always follows up when he gets a chance and we will be sure to update this article accordingly. If you want to stay current with his exploits in the Himalaya you can follow his socials and live track his GPS location HERE.
