Devil’s Head Resort is a moderate-sized ski area (for Midwestern standards) and is located just 40 miles north of Madison, WI. The ski area is known for having a fairly long vertical, and is conveniently close to the Wisconsin Dells.
Devil’s Head took to social media to announce that they are replacing two chairlifts that service the Western edge of the area with a new Dopplemayr Fixed-Grip quad.
The new lift will primarily service beginner areas, and is set to open at the beginning of next season.
It’s worth noting whenever a Midwestern ski area shells out money to upgrade their lifts. Many ski areas across Wisconsin still use the same fixed-grip lifts that were installed during the mid-to-late 20th century ski resort boom.
A new reliable lift will be a welcome sight at Devil’s Head.
