The Associated Press is reporting that a Montana man died after falling into a tree well outside of the Whitefish Mountain Resort boundary on Friday, 2/26.
Details on the specific location of the incident have not been released.
Whitefish Mountain Resort says that this is the first tree-well related death to occur on Big Mountain since 2018.
They also reminded skiers to ride with a friend, and avoid riding close to trees when deep snow conditions exist.
