Maurice Kervin is super lucky he walked away from this avalanche he triggered with only a dislocated finger. The spot called No Name near Loveland Pass and some of you will no doubt recognize it. If you listen close you can hear Kervin deploy his airbags before bouncing off a rock and going over a cliff on his 1,000ft rollercoaster ride. Denver 7 reports aurice has 10 years backcountry experience and completed a Level 1 safety course. He was back out in the backcountry the very next day but he wants his story to be an cautionary tale for others who might be venturing into the backcountry, some for the first time.
