Gnarly tale of survival out of Arizona where Jacob Velarde was hiking along Indian Maiden Falls Trail when the ground gave out underneath him sending him 70 feet down a canyon.  Suffering from broken bones and a fractured skull, Jacob was unable to get help. He crawled around in pain, only surviving on water for 29 hours. Thankfully a family hiking on the same trail heard his cries for help and called rescue crews.  Happy that report Jacob is recovering from his injuries and want to remind everyone its best to travel in a group and always let someone know where you are going and when you plan on returning so alarms can be raised if a situation arises.
