Happy 25th anniversary to the X Games. The inaugural event held in Providence and Newport, Rhode Island in 1995 arguably paved the way for sports like snowboarding and skateboarding to enter the world stage including the Olympics. The first event included some goofy stuff like skysurfing and bungee jumping but in the subsequent quarter-century, X Games has gotten squared away and emerged as the premier event for action sports.
