“How fitting is this on Marmot Fest – a marmot hitched a ride from Winter Park down to Parker Saturday. Parker Animal Control picked it up from a garage after the individuals discovered it when they got home. Today, we relocated the marmot back to the mountains at Staunton State Park.”

A sneaky marmot has been returned to its mountain home after stowing away on a vehicle in Winter Park and hitching a ride to Parker, Colorado (58.5 miles as the crow flies). Thankfully the animal was successfully released back into the wild and will have a hell of story to tell all it’s marmot buddies😊:
