According to the Aspen Times, Aspen Skiing Company is taking measures to ease financial concerns with their season pass-holders. Aspen will offer full refunds on season passes as late as November 20th if COVID-19 threatens to jeopardize the 2020-2021 season.

Aspen will also offer credits of up to $250 to pass holders due to this season being cut short by the virus.

I’m glad to see that Aspen is taking these measures for their pass holders. It would be all too-easy for a big company such as Aspen to not offer refunds if the virus destroys next season (let’s hope to god that doesn’t happen…).

This is probably being done to avoid lawsuits, (such as those against Vail), but I think there is a sense of good-will as well.

What are your thoughts on purchasing a season pass, mega pass, or even planning a trip for next season? I’m hesitant to get too excited that things will be back to normal by then…
