“Join us for a global day of snowboarding to celebrate the legacy of Jake Burton Carpenter. In honor of Jake, the following resorts are offering free lift passes for March 13, 2020. Register below with the resort of your choice, or just get out and ride. Ride to remember, and ride because snowboarding is what brings us together.”
It was a sad day back in November when it was announced that Burton Snowboards founder Jake Burton had passed away after a long battle with cancer. The entire global snowboarding community recognized the indelible impact he made on the sport that we all love so much. To celebrate Jake’s life 13 resorts across three continents have joined together to offer free lift tickets on March 13th for a day they have designated “A DAY FOR JAKE.” Registration is required prior to the date. If you can make it to one of these resorts or wish to honor Jake on your home mountain, we highly suggest you do. RIP Jake.
