If you’ve ever boarded a cruise ship or spent a week at an island getaway you may be familiar with the term “ALL INCLUSIVE.” Your accommodations, your activities, your meals, and your booze all paid for at once beforehand so there’s no stress about breaking out the credit card while you enjoy your time off. This model has been working on sandy beaches for decades but did you know its also widely available for skiers in the Alps?
GMA reports Med Québec Charlevoix’s all-inclusive ski prices in Canada will be comparable to what they charge in the Alps, from about $200 to $350 per adult, per night, depending on the resort. Rates vary widely dependant on room type, a view of the mountain will cost more, as will a larger room.
So is it actually cheaper to go all-inclusive or the traditional a la carte ski vacation in North America? That’s completely dependant on how you spend your money once you get to the mountain but the all-inclusive model has proved wildly successful across the pond and its not because people are getting swindled. We’ll see how it goes up in French Canada.
