According to CBS4 Denver, Eldora Mountain was forced to close this past Saturday (11/30) due to an intense storm that rattled the area. Hundreds of trees were blown down, and a major power outage effected a few of Eldora’s lifts.
“The Alpenglow, Indian Peaks and Corona lifts were all closed on Sunday due to the power outage.”

According to a spokesman from Eldora, the resort saw sustained winds sometimes in the 80-90 mph range with gusts exceeding 100 mph.
The resort had the effected lifts back up and running on Monday (12/2) for skiers and riders.
Can you imagine trying to ski in 100+ mph winds while trees are snapping all around you? Sounds like something straight out of an action movie. Thankfully nobody was hurt!
