Just another example of a group of tourists getting lulled into a false sense of security around a wild animal in our national parks. I feel like once you see one person get dangerously close and not get mauled the flood gates open.

Just a friendly reminder that getting this close is not only dangerous and stupid, it’s also illegal (willfully approaching bears within 150 feet or any distance that disturbs or displaces the bear is against federal policy and can result in fines and arrest).

Whether you’re in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee or out west where griz roam…never ever intentionally get this close to a bear or what happens next is your own fault:
