Wild footage out of Estes Park Colorado where a bull elk went on a goring rampage and which left two people injured. The incident occurred just before Elk Fest 2019 which includes everything from a 5K run to elk seminars. Remember folks, even though the elk in Estes Park seem habituated to the human presence they can and will attack if you don’t give them proper space. Be careful, be respectful, be safe.

***Colorado Parks and Wildlife advise humans should not physically intervene if an elk is attacking a person but are encouraged to yell, clap or honk a car horn. They can also throw items at the elk in an effort to distract it during an attack. Also witnesses are encouraged to keep a large physical barrier between themselves and an aggressive elk, and leave the animal a clear path to escape.
