More than 100 volunteers showed up to Keystone last month to clean trails according to CBS4 in Colorado:
“It’s a treasure hunt of sorts at Keystone Ski Resort, not gold but ski equipment, sunglasses, sometimes even wallets or cellphones. Volunteers are scaling the slopes to see what they can find now that all the snow has melted.”
Kudos to these people cleaning up the slopes after a long season. Most people probably don’t consider what happens when they lose gear, tech, or trash in the snow. These people are the heroes we need.
“During past cleanups, crews have found jewelry, cash and valuable ski gear.”
Remember that sick pair of new goggles you dropped from the lift while you were showing your buddy a viral video of a dog with sunglasses? Yeah, some lucky volunteer snatched those bad boys up after the snow melted. Seems like the possibilities of what you could find is endless.
“They also are picking up bags full of water bottles and beer cans.”
Also a friendly reminder to not be that guy who tosses beer cans from the lift. Keep the trails clean so they can be enjoyed all.
