Colorado’s State-Wide Snowpack Currently At 240% Normal

Colorado is coming off one hell of a ski season. So much so that the statewide snowpack is more than double the historic average for this time of the year.

All this snow means a big turnaround in Colorado’s drought status. At this point last year, 80% of the state was under some kind of dry status. Today, the drought outlook in Colorado is the best it has been in at least 19 years.

It’s rare to have this much snow on the mountainsides this late in the season so make sure you get out there and enjoy it.
