VIDEO: Colorado Snowpack “Ripening” and Ready For Major Melt Off

“Most of our snowpack is high in the mountains above 10,000 feet, and that snow is still ripening, so it will be a while before most of our snow starts to runoff.”

It was a historic snow season for Colorado and with the summer months just around the corner its a good time to get a better understanding when and how all that accumulation melts off.
