A few days ago we posted a video of a bear cub approaching snowboarders at Northstar Ski Resort in Tahoe. At the time we said “Sadly this interaction is helping to make this bear comfortable with humans which never ends well.”
A video of a bear cub approaching a group of snowboarders in Truckee has gone viral. But that innocent meeting…could cost the cub it’s life. While little cubs may be cute and fuzzy (even I can’t deny that), interacting with them is dangerous for everyone involved. –
Sadly this bear cub, who most likely lost it’s mother, has been evaluated by California Department of Wildlife who are deciding whether to put the cub in a wildlife sanctuary or put it down.
