Terrible news out of New Hampshire as man is confirmed dead after getting caught in an avalanche Thursday afternoon on Tuckerman Ravine.  FOX23 reports the man who has not yet been identified was buried in a human triggered avalanche around 1:30p.m.

Park rangers found the skier buried one meter under the snow and dug him out. He was wearing a beacon. Rangers performed CPR on the man and called for a medevac. He was pronounced dead around 4 p.m.

Rangers believe he was skiing alone as they found only one ski track. The avalanche was 75 feet wide. As more information comes in we will be sure to update. Condolences to the family and friends of departed.
