Tajikistan is one of the most mountainous countries in the world with over 50% of its land mass at 3000 meters above sea level but it only has one ski resort. The ski resort is located in the Region of Republican Subordination, on the Safedorak Plateau 6000 feet above sea level. In 2015, the Takob ski resort was renovated and a new name was given: Safed Dara.
