“Adult supervision is not required for children taking the lift.”

Thankfully this 8 year old kid only sustained minor injuries after falling 4 meters off a chairlift in Korea’s Gangwon-do Province. The kid hung on for about 3 minutes before finally dropping. Witness say the lift looked unstable while the kid was getting on:

 “The child did not sit properly from the very beginning. He cried loudly, but the lift kept moving.”

At the end of this Korean broadcast the anchor suggests a need to quickly come up with more concrete measures like installing safety nets to prevent serious accidents but as we may know that isn’t going to work in most situations.  Riding chairlifts is a huge responsibility and should only be done by kids who have earned the privilege or under the close supervision of an adult.
