The identity of the skier who died after impacting a tree at Breckenridge has been released since his next of kin have been notified. Authorities have identified the skier as 21-year-old Daniel Giger, a University of Colorado-Boulder student and native of Newport Beach, California.  Denver 7 reports he hit a tree while skiing an intermediate trail on Peak 7 on Sunday afternoon.
