Due to variable weather conditions, the FIS has decided to reschedule its two marquee races at this weekend’s Birds of Prey World Cup event at Beaver Creek. For non-pros, the news is all good (*powder). But, if you were planning on attending the event this weekend, please take note of the statement included below.

Per the announcement:
“Further snowfall prevents Beaver Creek of holding the last downhill training on the Birds Of Prey. As forecasted, heavy snowfall came in during the night and continued into the day. A good 30 centimeters was laying on the 2,7 kilometers long race course as the jury decided to cancel the last training.
The weather is pretty unstable in the upcoming days too, so the Vail Valley Foundation, organizer of the events in Beaver Creek, together with the US Ski & Snowboard association and the jury took the decision to switch the program for the next two days. The Birds of Prey downhill is now scheduled on Friday starting at 10:45 local time (18:45 CET), while the super-g will take place on Saturday at 11:00 local time (19:00 CET).”
