Starting today, Beartooth Pass is closed to the traveling public until the summer of 2019. The iconic pass that straddles the Montana, Wyoming border was scheduled to close later but an oncoming snow storm forced officials to move up the closure.
Montana saw snow all week and last night, Big Sky and Red Lodge Mountain both got annihilated. The sun is now shining on Red Lodge but Big Sky remains in the clouds. Both should see snow return by tomorrow.
