Construction of the super cush Ramcharger 8 at Big Sky is finally underway up in Montana. Upon completion it will be first chairlift of its kind in North America. KBZK reports the Ramcharger 8 will have an uphill capacity of 3,200 skiers per hour and you won’t have to worry about those bitter cold Montana winds…it also has a heated bubble that drops down over skiers and heaters integrated into seats.

Big Sky also wants to highlight the lift can be used by bikers in the summer and restaurant goers year round:
“The really cool thing about Ramcharger, the restaurant located on top of the lift is Everett 8,800. This is going to be open for dinner this winter and folks will be able to ride Ramcharger 8 up in their nice, heated bubble and go out for dinner and then they’ll be able to take the chairlift down after dinner.”
Big Sky will also updating the Shedhorn chairlift from a double to a quad reducing lift time from ten minutes to five.
