“It’s part of being in the Rocky Mountains, we do have a hotel next to a National Park… wildlife is part of the gig.” -Stanley Hotel GM Reed Rowley

A black bear found his way into the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado late Wednesday night. CBS Denver reports the bear wandered around the lobby, went past the front desk and momentarily stood on a table before exiting assumably back into Rocky Mountain National Park to tell his bear buddies that he scoped it out and it’s not that easy to poach the hot tub.  Hotel staff wants to emphasize that no employees or guests were ever in danger. Rowdy.

Here’s how The Stanley handled it on their Facebook Page: Late night visitor from the wildside visits our hotel lobby. We’ll make an exception to the rule about jumping on the furniture.”
