This is just a microcosm of a debate that’s being played out across the great state of Colorado. At what point do you sacrifice preservation in the name of recreation and vice versa.  In this case the debate hinges on an eagle’s nest but in other parts of the state it could be an issue with an threatened species or businesses getting behind trail projects where they stand to turn a profit.

If you could form a principled policy that would guide the decision making process in these situations where Recreation and Preservation are at an impasse what would it look like. Please comment and let your voice be heard.
