New restrictions have been created after a Lava Ocean Tours sightseeing boat in Hawaii was struck with a basketball sized lava after getting too close to an active volcano. CBS reports 23 people were injured, most for burns and scrapes, but one person was hospitalized with a broken femur.

Previously the Coast Guard allowed lava tour operators to get within 50 meters of shore but pushed that back to 300 meters after Monday’s incident. Here is footage of the moment of impact:
