A number of skiers and boarders have been reported to have been seen jumping across a famous US Highway in Montana.

A tourist from Australia who witnessed the jumpers told local media, โ€œTheyโ€™re mad.ย  Just absolutely mad,โ€ adding, โ€œItโ€™s just silly. Silly, silly, silly.โ€

The Beartooth Highway near Yellowstone National Park was closed recently due to a snowstorm but when it reopened skiers and boarders set out to build a gap jump over the highway.

The local police said that there was in fact a law against ski jumping over a highway
