Good news to all you South American shredders looking to get a jump on the ski season in the Andes, Valle Nevado has bumped their opening day up by one week after series of storms blanketed the Chilean ski resort in 40 inches of snow:

“We’re opening EARLY! Valle is thrilled to announce the resort will open this Friday, June 15 — so get your skis and snowboards waxed and ready. A total of 40 inches of snow has fallen since last Friday, laying out perfect conditions for a weekend of mountain bliss. Hotels Puerta del Sol and Tres Puntas will open on the 22nd, the Hotel Valle Nevado on the 29th. Restaurants at both the hotel complex and the Curva 17 will be open for day visitors. See you here!”
