Due to extreme fire risk Glenwood Springs is considering doing away with their traditional 4th of July firework show in favor of laser lights display due to anticipated extreme wildfire danger.

Replacing good old fashion explosives with light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation might seem like a letdown buts its better than the alternative which is to scrap the entire show.

Fingers crossed Colorado gets some much needed rain 🤞
