Brock Crouch’s doctors have told him he will need to rest for the next several months, but he will be back to 100% well ahead of the Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022 where he hopes to compete in snowboard slopestyle.

The 18 year old southern California snowboarder and surfer suffered a broken back, loss of his front teeth and a ruptured pancreas after getting swept over a 80 foot cliff in an avalanche while filming in the Whister backcountry on April 22. Brock was buried for a full five minutes before being dug out.

Brock spent nearly a week at Vancouver General Hospital but is back home in Carlsbad recovering and his spirits are high. Unfortunately the video of his interview with CBS 8 wont embed but you are highly encouraged to watch it HERE.
