Work is currently under way at Hunter Mountain and crews are currently cutting 5 new runs that will make up a brand new zone what will be known as Hunter Mountain North reports the Times Herald-Record. The area is scheduled to open for the 2018/2019 season, adding some 43 more acres of skiable terrain to the domain.

Also included in the improvement is a detachable high speed 6-seater that will bring guests back to the front side of the resort.

“The new entrance, arrival area and high-speed lift will provide guests with easy access to a new area of intermediate-level terrain that will dramatically broaden the variety of trails that Hunter has to offer.”  – Jesse Boyd, Senior VP of Operations of Peak Resorts

Other additions will include a brand new, 250 car capacity parking lot as well as a new, western entrance from the Town of Jewett.
