Third Ever ‘YOLO Flip’ Landed By Tahoe Teen Toby Miller

YouTube Poster

17 year old Truckee raised snowboarder, Toby Miller, joined a elite group becoming the third person on earth to land a Yolo Flip aka a cab double cork 1440.  He stomped the trick after weeks of training at private summer halfpipe at Mt. Hood where he was joined by Shaun White.

“The halfpipe trick that was taking over used to be the backside 1260 double cork, but since iPod invented the cab double 1440, that trick started taking over snowboarding. I’ve been looking at that trick, and I feel like I can do it. Learning a new trick is always scary, it’s always up there on this mental pedestal. So you try to break it down and realize how to build up to a trick, and that’s what I was there to do.”

Toby joins Iouri “iPod” Podladtchikov (the dude who gave the trick the unfortunate name) and Shaun White as the only three people with the balls and skills to throw it.
