5 years ago, Mercedes-Benz sent Kilian Martin and filmmaker Brett Novak to an abandoned water park in the middle of the California desert. After a few days of shooting, the segments came bubbling up through the sand and the end result was a film that would shake skateboarding to the core. After the first watch, people starting asking ‘is this dancing or skateboarding?’
Answer: Both.
