In an area with rugged terrain like Larimer County, Colorado having a drone at your disposal as a backcountry search and rescue or firefighting crew fighting a wildfire is a no brainer. I am personally convinced every county should have at least one skilled drone operator, even if its a volunteer, that can be called up in emergency situations. Kind of like a blood hound or composite sketch artist. Cost benefits on something like this are through the roof, especially when considering human life.
