Bolton Valley is back in business with its founding family after Ralph DesLauriers and a group of local investors bought back the Vermont ski area from Burlington-based real estate developers on Friday reports The Burlington Free Press.

Ski Hill Shoutout: Bolton Valley, Vermont

Ever since the Ralph DesLauriers sold the ski area back in 1997, various entities have failed to a create a financially sustainable business on the ski slopes located just west of Burlington, VT. During the past two decades, the resort’s year round amenities have dwindled, leaving skiing as the sole operational focus.

“We are looking forward to making Bolton Valley Resort a year-round recreational home for families to enjoy. It’s our way of giving back to our community.” – Ralph DesLauriers

The new ownership team hopes to change that by bringing back summer amenities such as mountain biking, family-centered programming, and year-round food service. Daily operations will continue under the existing management team while the ownership side of things will be lead by Ralph DesLauriers along with his son Evan and daughter Lindsay.
