Killington president, Michael Solimano made the announcement to a gathering of Killington faithful on Monday afternoon after displaying a highlight reel of last year’s event. The crowds reaction– pure elation.

With the proverbial cat out of the bag, the screen switched from the highlight clips to a clock counting down the days, hours, and minutes until next year’s FIS World Cup event, which will happen again over Thanksgiving Weekend.

According to various reports, FIS officials were overwhelmed by the massive interest in ski racing on the east coast this past year. Unsurprisingly, they’re stoked to have a venue in the US market that reflects world cup quality ski racing.
