Although nobody was injured during the encounter, Alyeska staff were given advice from Alaska Wildlife Troopers on how to terminate the Moose in accordance with state law. Alaska law permits use of deadly force against wild animals in cases of self defense.
Alyeska spokesperson, Ben Napolitano told the ADN that while moose sightings are fairly common at the resort, they do not usually see moose as high up as the Glacier Bowl Express chairlift.
