Three skiers were killed and five injured in an avalanche triggered while backcountry skiing at Plan De Gabba in Northern Italy. The scene was describe as sounding like a “battlefield” because people were shouting in different languages. The deceased include an Italian, a German, and a Belgium.
Rueters is reporting the injured include an Italian man, an Italian woman and a man who has not yet been identified who are being treated in hospital. Two Belgians have been discharged from hospital after medical checks and treatment.
