Professional snowmobiler, Josh Roth, from Alpine, Wyoming, passed away Thursday in an avalanche.

Josh was riding with a friend in eastern Bonneville County near the Wyoming state line when the slide was triggered. It is being reported that his riding partner was able to locate Roth with an avalanche beacon, dig him out, and call for help.

Roth passed away from injuries suffered in the slide.
